The Jinvoo Zigbee Water Valve is a smart valve which we have tested and works well. We have not put it through a strenuous test to prove out longevity, but if you don’t have room for or don’t want to spend the money on our recommended Zooz Titan Water Valve, then this may be a great alternative.

It connects via Zigbee which, as you know, we prefer over Wi-Fi for your most important devices (for more information, we wrote about this in our protocols article). It is easy to set up and attach to any quarter-turn valve, has simple setup and inclusion into SmartThings for full control, and has been reliable during all of our testing. You just need to be sure the actuator is centered over the valve and it is tightened down around the valve itself.

It is a simple device, but you really can’t beat it given the price and reliability we have experienced.
