The Aeotec SmartThings Button is a great device if you are looking to give your guests the ability to trigger something in your smart home setup with a physical button. If you set up a routine in SmartThings, this button can work locally on your smart network with no need to communicate externally.
Generally we don’t recommend any devices that are battery powered due to the general issues we’ve found with battery devices (connectivity, battery life, ability for a guest to move/lose it). However, for those instances when you have a specific need, this is a great device to get the job done.
