The Unifi Dream Machine Pro is an enterprise-grade network control device for a consumer-grade price. This powerful device packs a lot of punch for the cost, and is our go-to device for all of our network setups. Although it may not be for everyone, this device gives the advanced consumer everything they need to set up a robust network. It provides the advanced consumer with endless opportunities to expand and grow, so your network can be as simple or complex as you’d like to make it.

It’s designed to be rack-mounted (but doesn’t need to be) and comes with a built in HDD bay so you can add a disk for local camera video recording storage. You can run the Unifi Network app as well as Unifi Protect (security cameras) and more. Using the Unifi Controller, you can manage your network remotely and make changes if necessary.

From a short-term rental perspective, this device will give you all the tools you need to set up a secure network at your rental for guests, monitor everything even when you aren’t on-site, and set up a security system if desired. It also gives you the ability to set up a guest portal where you can have guests agree to your terms and conditions when they connect to your network.
